Perry Kinkaide, BA, MSc, PhD, CMC - Past President, Founder

Perry Kinkaide is the founder and first President of the Alberta Council of Technologies, President and Chairman of the Board of KINKAIDE ENTERPRISES Inc., former Managing Director of KPMG Consulting in Edmonton and Assistant Deputy Minister with the Alberta Government.Upon retirement in 2001, Perry established KEI, for allocating venture capital and assigning operating officers to emerging technology-based, enterprises in Western Canada.

 

Perry continues to provide consulting and advisory services to both the public and private sectors. Recognized in the July 2007 by Alberta Venture magazine as one of 50 "most influential" Albertans.

 

Perry earned a B.A. degree from Colgate University in 1964, M.Sc. (1967) and Ph.D. (1972) from the University of Alberta in brain research. Perry is co-chair of the Canadian/Alberta Fusion Institute. He serves as Director of: General Credit Services, Troy Media, Bedrock Environmental Services, Visionstate and, formerly  the Alberta Professional Planners Institute, the Whitemud Equine Learning Centre, Goodwill Industries, the Certified Management Accountants of Alberta, and the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Alberta. He is the Past Chair of St. Alberta's Community Health Council and the Continuous Learning Community Society. Special interests include: golf, gardening and  grandchildren (pending).
