Eight educational Workshops designed to address contemporary economic and environmental, social, and political issues of clean-tech surrounding: lifestyle change, financing clean-tech, construction standards, mobility shifts, food production, rural broadband, waste water, and renewable energy options. Red Deer College Convention

In addition to establishing the Alberta Clean-tech Industry Alliance and guiding resolutions derived from the Calgary and Edmonton Symposia this spring - found HERE, the Convention will feature:

The proposed Alliance is to help address the many challenges facing the diverse sectors comprising Alberta's fast-growing clean-tech industry: public education, financing, and establishing policies and standards for advancing the commercialization of clean-technologies.

ABCtech's 2010 AGM & BBQ
"Twilight in the Meadows" attracts over 60. Edmonton's lush River Valley was the site of ABCtech's 2010 AGM and tent party on June 24th. Over 60 guests gathered to celebrate another outstanding year of helping to diversify the Alberta economy through technology. The AGM featured a "riveting" presentation, "Do or die. Diversifying the Alberta economy" by Jason Brisbois, chief economist for theWestern Centre for Economic Research at the University of Alberta. The Centre has been commissioned to prepare a dataset contributing to a graphic illustration on the status of Alberta's economic diversification and an index of associated literature.
